One of my favorite memories with my friends is our trip to Beech Mountain for an amazing girls trip. It was relaxing, fun and C O O L! Y’all don’t know how nice that is until you have lived through NC humidity in the summer. I will take a break from that heat any day.
We stayed in Beech Mountain at a friends condo and it was the perfect size for our group. Check VRBO for houses and condos on top of the mountain. Beech Mountain is about 30 minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock making it a favorite location. Of course there are great rentals in Boone and Blowing Rock, but nothing beats the views at the top of the mountain.
With Beech Mountain being a quick 2 hour drive we did a short 1 night trip. It was perfect for us and we were able to get so much in.

Saturday-
Start out with a picnic at Grandfather Mountain Vineyards. It is a gorgeous, outdoor location right off one of the main roads. There are plenty of outdoor tables and chairs by the river to be able to sit back, relax and sip on some delicious wines. We brought snacks to enjoy with our wine and hung out there for a few hours. Very relaxing and a great first stop.
Later we headed to Beech Mountain Brewing to soak in the views, music and drinks. This was such a cool experience as we all hopped on the ski lifts to head to the top of the mountain where the bar is located. I’m scared of heights but was not going to let it stop me from getting to the top of the mountain. Once at the top, the environment was so cool. It is an experience that you can’t get just anywhere.
For dinner we went down the mountain to Boone and ate at Proper which was a yummy spot with traditional southern dishes. Who doesn’t love southern food?!? Another great restaurant is Daniel Boone Inn, a family style restaurant that requires a big appetite. Again, delicious southern food. After dinner we took a stroll around downtown Boone to some of the local shops.

Sunday-
Sunday was easy going as we headed over to Blowing Rock to brunch and shop. One of our favorite meals was at Bistro Roca located near the main downtown road in Blowing Rock. After eating we explored Blowing Rock and visited some cute shops. Kilwins is a great stop if you are craving something sweet!
After our adventure through downtown Blowing Rock, we headed home. 24 hours of girls time was just what we needed and I can’t wait for it to happen again!
